From Bal Vatika to Class XII

Five stages on one campus at Kandola, following the CBSE curriculum from the foundational years through senior secondary.

Stage 1 of 5 · 3 to 6 years

Foundational

Bal Vatika 1, 2 and 3

Play, story and activity based learning in line with the CBSE foundational stage. No written examinations and no homework.

Stage 2 of 5 · 6 to 11 years

Class I to V

Reading fluency, clear handwriting and number confidence, with art, computers and games in the regular timetable.

Stage 3 of 5 · 11 to 14 years

Class VI to VIII

Subject teaching with smart-board lessons and laboratory work, building the study habits the board years will need.

Stage 4 of 5 · 14 to 16 years

Class IX and X

CBSE secondary curriculum with structured board preparation and remedial support.

Stage 5 of 5 · 16 to 18 years

Class XI and XII

Streams with guided subject selection and entrance-exam foundation classes on campus.

How progress is measured at each stage.

No tests and no homework. Teachers keep a record of what each child can do and speak to parents in person about what has changed.

Two terms. Each term carries a periodic assessment (10), note book (5), subject enrichment (5) and the term examination (80), totalling 100.

The report card also grades general studies, health and physical education, work experience and discipline on an A, B, C scale.
